Nominate schools to receive 2026 Literacy Trolleys
Story 1
Nominations are now open for schools and education organisations to receive mobile reading trolley libraries in 2026 through the Road to Literacy campaign.
Last year, more than 430 Gauteng schools benefited from the initiative, including 120 in Johannesburg.
Oxford University Press Southern Africa and AVBOB plan to distribute 2,000 trolley libraries containing one million CAPS-aligned books in all 11 official languages to under-resourced schools across South Africa by March 2026.
Each trolley provides learners with access to curriculum-based books in their home languages, supporting reading development and improving literacy in classrooms.
