An early childhood development centre in Diepsloot has been changing young lives by providing a safe and structured learning environment during children’s most critical developmental years.
Ark Academy currently supports dozens of learners and aftercare children, and plans to expand its reach once a new permanent school site is completed.
After losing access to its previous premises, the centre has begun building a new facility to continue and grow its work in the community.
To complete the next phase of construction, Ark Academy has launched a BackaBuddy campaign to raise R75,000 for building materials and labour.

Pop superstar Robbie Williams has surpassed the Beatles as the artist with the most number one albums in the history of the British charts.
The news came a week after Williams released "Britpop", which is now officially his 16th UK chart-topping album.
The 51-year-old singer broke the record that was previously held by the Beatles with his first new studio album in 7-years.
The Beatles now stand in second place on the British album chart-topping list with 15.
