Women offenders graduate with new skills through Twinning Project and Kaizer Chiefs

A second group of female offenders has graduated from a coaching and life-skills programme at Johannesburg Female Correctional Facility.
The initiative, run with the Twinning Project and Kaizer Chiefs, combines football coaching, mentorship, and life-skills training.
Acting National Commissioner Tlabo Thokolo said the programme builds confidence, teamwork, and resilience, helping participants rebuild their futures. He praised the graduates’ commitment and highlighted the project as a practical example of rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

South Africa has been named the world’s most generous nation, scoring 51.57 on the Interpersonal Generosity Scale.
The results come from a global online survey of over 4,500 people, measuring generosity beyond financial giving and including empathy, kindness, patience, emotional support and putting others first.
