Local artists came together at Doppio Zero for the Inside Out Girls Campaign’s first fundraising event, using their work to raise funds for the organisation’s outreach work.
The Tell Your Story Through Art silent auction featured paintings and mixed media artworks, with artists sharing the stories and experiences behind their creations.
The event also gave guests an opportunity to meet the artists and learn more about their work, while helping the campaign raise funds for its day to day operations and outreach programmes.

The University of the Free State has launched a R35 million postgraduate simulation unit in Bloemfontein, giving specialist medical trainees a chance to practise complex procedures before treating patients.
The facility recreates hospital environments including intensive care units, operating theatres and medical wards, while also offering virtual reality training and a specialised tissue laboratory.
The university says the technology will help trainees build confidence and clinical skills in a safe environment, supporting better patient care

Pinnacle Ridge View School in Roodepoort has collected a record 5 500 litres of long-life, fat-free milk for orphaned baby rhinos.
The annual Rhino Drive supports Rhino Connect NPC, which cares for rhinos orphaned by poaching.
The school started the campaign in 2023, collecting 1 436 litres in its first year, with donations growing each year.
This year, five milk-dependent rhino calves needed support, while cash donations will help cover veterinary and medical costs.
