The astronauts reached a distance of 252,756 miles from Earth, breaking the long-standing record held by Apollo 13 by more than 4,000 miles.

Among the highlights of the journey was a rare view of a solar eclipse, with astronaut Victor Glover describing the moment as “unreal.”

The spacecraft returned back to Earth on Friday,
concluding the 10-day mission around the Moon.
