The reopening campaign has seen three landmark facilities brought back into service.
54% of the City's swimming pools are currently open to the public, with the target set at 90% by the end of September.

SANParks kicks off annual wildflower season

South African National Parks has announced the official start of the 2025 wildflower season at the West Coast National Park.

The Postberg section of the park will be open to the public until the 30th of September, offering visitors a rare and unforgettable opportunity to experience the region’s seasonal blooms.

Park authorities have also reported an increase in visitors compared to last year and say over 23,000 people have visited the park since the 15th of August.

Ethiopia officiated the continent's largest hydroelectric dam, the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, on the Blue Nile River yesterday.
