The City of Tshwane is taking action to transform the Tshwane Fresh Produce Market, providing a safe, clean, and efficient environment for farmers and traders to thrive.
In August, the metro was ordered to ensure the market is fire and smoke detection compliant, and purchase generators and evaporator coils.
The metro’s spokesperson, Mark Rountree, says maintenance expenditure at the Tshwane Market was increased by more than 50-percent to 33.1-million-rand for the year ending June 2025:
