Free Polio Vaccinations at Witkoppen Clinic to Protect Children
Story 1
Witkoppen Clinic, in partnership with The Rotary Foundation, is hosting a free polio vaccination drive on November 11 to protect children under five from the highly contagious disease.
Polio attacks the nervous system and can cause permanent paralysis or death, but vaccination can prevent it entirely.
The campaign forms part of Rotary’s global “End Polio Now” initiative, which has reduced polio cases worldwide by more than 99% since 1988.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring their children to the clinic, where no appointment is needed and all vaccinations will be free.
The drive reflects Witkoppen Clinic’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding community health and ensuring access to essential healthcare services.
