The Sandton SPCA has raised more than 1.7 million rand through community donations, surpassing its goal to replace ageing inspector vehicles. The funds have already been used to purchase three new rescue vehicles, improving the organisation’s ability to respond more quickly and efficiently to cases across the area. SPCA management says the campaign received strong support from individuals, trusts and local fundraising efforts.

A learner at Alma Mater International School has been selected for the South African Indoor Netball Federation championships. Charmaine Tsvaringa has competed in high intensity indoor netball competitions. SAINF oversees competitive action netball in South Africa and selects national teams for international tournaments, including the 2026 WINA Super World Cup. The federation runs fast-paced seven-a-side and six-a-side competitions across multiple age groups for men and women.
