Knight Preparatory Learners Give Back to Place a Pup
Story 3
Learners from Knight Preparatory School collected dog and cat food to donate to Place a Pup, a non-profit in Roodepoort that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes abandoned and neglected animals.
The initiative was led by the Grade 7 leadership group, Knights of Kindness. The learners gathered donations from their families and visited the NPO to see the facility, play with the puppies, and hand over the supplies.
Teacher Kirsten Groves says the project helps young people develop a habit of giving back while supporting organisations that rely on public generosity to continue their work.
