Santa Cause for Paws Announces 2026 Beneficiaries
Story 3
Santa Cause for Paws, the charity that makes Christmas magical for shelter animals, has revealed its 2026 beneficiary list. Over 189 animal welfare organisations across South Africa will receive gifts this festive season.
The initiative relies entirely on public support. Each organisation submits a wishlist of food, toys, and essentials. Supporters can “sponsor” an animal for R250, with volunteers shopping and delivering exactly what each organisation requested. Last year, over R1.1 million was raised, helping more than 4,500 animals across 216 organisations.
The drive includes a wide range of groups, from large SPCAs to small feral cat projects, donkey sanctuaries, and specialised rescues, all driven by volunteers and community generosity.
