Members of Siya’ Shova and Climate Riders led a 2km clean-up from the Heritage Centre on 7th Avenue to the Jabulani Material Recycling site, collecting litter and encouraging residents to dispose of waste responsibly.
The groups also promoted bicycles as a low-cost, low-carbon transport option that can improve health and reduce pollution.

Chery to Begin Local Vehicle Production in SA

Chery Auto Executive Vice President, Charlie Zhang, says the company’s new vehicle assembly plant in Rosslyn, Tshwane, will move Chery from importing vehicles to local production in South Africa.
The Chinese automaker has launched its manufacturing project, with production expected to start in 2027.
The plant is expected to create jobs, train workers and provide opportunities for local suppliers, including youth-owned businesses.
