A Kenyan engineer is turning his passion for rocketry into a mission to help the country one day launch its own satellites into space.
Eugene Awimbo Aloo is building and testing miniature rockets while working with the Kenya Space Agency and universities to grow local expertise in aerospace engineering. His efforts support Kenya's long term ambition of developing its own space technology and strengthening science and innovation on the continent.
Despite limited funding, Aloo hopes his work will inspire more young people to pursue careers in science, technology and engineering and help build a future space industry in Kenya.
