Project Rahmah has donated winter care packs to people staying at The Haven Night Shelter in District Six, Cape Town, to help them through the cold winter months.
Each care pack included a blanket, warm socks, a beanie, toiletries and snacks, providing practical support and comfort to some of the city's most vulnerable residents.
The organisation hopes to make the initiative a long term commitment while encouraging more people to support those experiencing homelessness.

MTN helps Zandspruit youth build financial skills

More than 100 people in Zandspruit, near Honeydew in Johannesburg, took part in an MTN Group Fintech financial literacy programme at the Emthonjeni Community Centre.
Participants received budgeting workshops, financial literacy resources, health checks and one on one mentoring designed to help them make informed financial decisions and build long term financial confidence.
MTN says it will continue providing access to digital financial education tools beyond the campaign to help participants strengthen their financial knowledge.

Eleven year old praised for saving man from drowning

An 11 year old boy from Kentucky, USA is being praised after rescuing a man who lost consciousness in an apartment swimming pool.
Avory Woolery noticed nobody was helping, so he put on his goggles, swam underwater and pulled the man to the side of the pool.
Another bystander performed CPR before emergency crews arrived, and the man was taken to hospital for treatment. Avory says he knew he had to do something.
