The Breaking the Taboo summit, hosted by the Thari ya Pula Foundation in partnership with the South African College of Applied Psychology, explored ways to reduce stigma and improve emotional support for people affected by reproductive loss.
Organisers hope the summit will become an annual event that raises awareness, connects people with support services and ensures fewer individuals face these experiences alone.

Winter donation drive brings warmth to vulnerable residents

The 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day Expat Chapter Johannesburg and Visions of Joy have donated 57 handmade blankets and 100 beanies to people supported by the Thuthuzela Aid Community Centre in Marlboro Gardens.
The donation will help keep vulnerable children, older people and families warm during Johannesburg's cold winter.
Thuthuzela, which operates an orphanage and day care centre, says the support will bring comfort to those it cares for while reminding them that their community is standing with them
