New Women's Centre Opens in Eastern Cape

The iThemba Kuluntu Women's Centre has opened in Cwebeni, Eastern Cape, expanding community programmes for young women.
Yesterday more than 20 young women began an eight-week Gender-Based Violence (GBV) programme.
The course teaches participants how to identify different forms of GBV, respond to unsafe situations, and support others in their communities.
The centre builds on iThemba Kuluntu's existing work as an Early Childhood Development facility and community training garden, which provides education and sustainable food production.

Johannesburg Blanket Drive Supports Vulnerable Residents

The 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day Expat Chapter Johannesburg donated 57 handmade blankets and 100 beanies to residents supported by Thuthuzela Aid Community Centre in Marlboro Gardens.
The group delivered the items during a winter donation drive on Sunday, in partnership with Visions of Joy.
The centre, which supports children, elderly people and families, received the donations as temperatures dropped across Johannesburg.
This forms part of efforts by community organisations to provide practical support during winter.

South African small businesses can enter the My Incredible Business competition for a chance to win a R50,000 Incredible voucher.
The competition, run by Incredible with support from Good Things Guy, invites entrepreneurs to share their business journeys and how they have built their companies.
The winning business will receive funding support that can be used for equipment, technology and tools to improve operations.
Entries close at the end of August, with selected businesses also receiving exposure through the campaign.
