HIV activist Ibanomonde Ngema is leading a powerful campaign to inspire young people living with HIV to live confidently and without shame.
Her HIV Plus Us initiative uses social media to reach youths with messages of self-love, acceptance and truth.
The campaign also supports parents in understanding HIV as a manageable condition, helping to break down stigma at home.
Ngema urges young people to be brave in relationships, as her work shifts South Africa’s view of HIV — from fear to hope, and silence to conversation.

The Social Media Summit for Government, in partnership with the University of Johannesburg, brought public sector communicators and leaders together to explore digital engagement.
