Gauteng to host Official Matric results announcement ceremony

The Basic Education Department in Gauteng will host the official National Senior Certificate Results Announcement event on Tuesday the 13th of January, in partnership with the Telkom Foundation at Telkom Park in Centurion.
Individual candidate results will go live at 12:00 am on Tuesday, the 13 January.
Matriculants can access their results online at results.gauteng.gov.za using their examination number, to retrieve their statement of results.

Durban Tourism deputy director Winile Mntungwa says preliminary figures indicate that average hotel occupancy rates have increased from last year’s 60–65% to between 75–80% this festive season.
