Santa Drive brings festive cheer to thousands of Pretoria North children
Story 1

Santa Chosen Soldiers, together with the Pretoria North CPF, hosted the annual Santa Drive in Pretoria North on 6 December, bringing festive cheer to thousands of children.
The event, held opposite the Pretoria North Court, included games, treats, and the distribution of gift packs and food parcels.
Organisers said preparations began months ago, with donations helping the initiative grow from 5 000 children last year to 7 000 this year.
Santa Chosen Soldiers also supports vulnerable groups year-round through clothing collections and visits to old-age homes.
Local volunteers, biker clubs and security partners assisted on the day, helping ensure the event ran smoothly.

Young baboon rescued from Northern Cape farm
Story 2
A wildlife rescuer with the Owl Rescue Centre, Brendan, made a 1,500-kilometre round trip from Hartbeespoort to the Northern Cape to save a young female baboon left alone on a farm.
Using bananas to earn her trust, he safely secured the baboon, now named Khatoo, for the journey back.
She will be transferred to Prime CREW Wildlife for ongoing care. Brendan described the mission as a “miracle rescue,” noting it was risky without proof-of-life confirmation before the trip.

The ban, in partnership with Humane World for Animals and Collective Fashion Justice, covers runway shows, promotional content, and the official schedule.
