Edenglen Cyclists Ride For CANSA

Edenglen Cycling Club is calling on 300 cyclists to join its Paint the Cradle Pink Ride in support of CANSA.
The ride will take place on October-11 at Syringa Park in Krugersdorp, with participants asked to wear pink.
Organisers aim to raise R300,000 for cancer support, after last year’s ride raised more than R200,000.
The ride will also honour two club members who died after battling cancer.

More than 300 Special Olympics athletes from across South Africa have received free medical screenings in Rustenburg, North West.
Specialists conducted the screenings during the national Special Olympics over the weekend.
The initiative forms part of a partnership between Special Olympics South Africa and the North West health department.

Police and community partners in Mpumalanga and the Eastern Cape have supported children and elderly residents through two outreach programmes.
Perdekop SAPS members donated school shoes and sanitary pads to learners at a primary school, while Qumrha SAPS and community groups visited residents at an old age home.
Officers also spoke to the elderly about preventing abuse and gender-based violence.
The initiatives focused on supporting vulnerable people and strengthening ties between police and their communities.
