Dorcas Women in Action, the Grand Templers and the Methodist Church joined forces in Dobsonville on August 27 for a prayer session and charity drive supporting vulnerable community members.
Residents received a warm meal and pre-loved clothing, while also coming together for prayer, encouragement and support.

CapeNature and its partners are using September to tackle litter and waste through the annual #DontBeTrashy Drive in the Western Cape.
The campaign will focus on preventing rubbish from reaching rivers, wetlands, estuaries and the ocean, where it can harm wildlife and natural habitats.
Schools will take part in educational activities, while communities and businesses will be involved in clean ups and other environmental initiatives throughout the month.

Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria has become the first public healthcare facility in South Africa to receive Essential Stroke Centre recognition from the World Stroke Organisation.
The recognition means the hospital is meeting international standards for stroke care, including quick diagnosis, timely treatment, patient safety and ongoing improvements in care.
Brain imaging now takes around 18 to 26 minutes after patients arrive, while artificial intelligence assisted scans and remote specialist consultations help doctors make faster treatment decisions.
The hospital has also maintained its WSO Angels Diamond Status for three consecutive years.
