Mineral Resources and Energy Department to announce fuel price adjustment for September
Story 1
Motorists can look forward to some relief at the pumps as fuel prices are set to decrease slightly this month.
Preliminary data from the Central Energy Fund indicates a possible 4-cents drop for a litre of 95-grade petrol while 93-grade will likely go down by 12-cents per litre.
Diesel is expected to decrease by 55-cents per litre and paraffin will drop by 37-cents per litre.
The Minerals and Energy Department says these decreases are largely due to favourable rand-dollar exchange rates and fairly contained global oil prices.
The official fuel price adjustments will be announced by the department and will take effect on Wednesday.
