Mineral Resources and Energy Department to announce fuel price adjustment for September
Story 1
Motorists can look forward to some relief at the pumps as fuel prices are set to decrease slightly this month.
Preliminary data from the Central Energy Fund indicates a possible 4 cents drop for a litre of 95-grade petrol, while 93-grade will likely go down by 12 cents per litre.
Diesel is expected to decrease by 55 cents per litre and paraffin will drop by 37 cents per litre.
The Minerals and Energy Department says these decreases are largely due to favourable rand-dollar exchange rates-and fairly contained global oil prices.
The official fuel price adjustments will be announced by the department and will take effect on Wednesday.
