Eskom reports R23.9 billion profit

Eskom has announced a profit before tax of R23.9 billion, its first return to profitability in eight years.
The power utility presented its group annual results for the 2025 financial year, which ended on the 31st of March, at the Megawatt Park on Tuesday afternoon.

Eskom's Group Chief Executive Dan Marokane, says the ongoing efforts of Eskom’s 42 000 employees in delivering the entity's turnaround strategy, have produced tangible results.

He has also highlighted the utility’s vital importance to the country’s economic growth prospects and job creation.
