Johannesburg reports progress in restoring safety and service delivery

The City of Johannesburg’s MMC for public safety, Dr Mgcini Tshwaku, says the city has made tangible progress in restoring safety, discipline and service delivery across its public safety units.

Tshwaku highlighted the progress made in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department, Emergency Management Services, Disaster Management, Licensing and the Integrated Intelligence Operations Centre.

He says the department’s efforts over the past year have been guided by a vision of a safer and more resilient Johannesburg.

Limpopo records strongest market growth in SA

The Limpopo province's property market is the fastest growing in the country, followed by the Western Cape and Gauteng.

Stats SA says the value of residential properties in South Africa's fourth largest province in terms of land area, rose by over 12% in May 2025.

This has been attributed to the province's strong economic growth over the last months.

Limpopo's economy grew more than the national average in 2024.
