The City of Johannesburg’s MMC for public safety, Dr Mgcini Tshwaku, says the city has made tangible progress in restoring safety, discipline and service delivery across its public safety units.

Tshwaku highlighted the progress made in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department, Emergency Management Services, Disaster Management, Licensing and the Integrated Intelligence Operations Centre.

He says the department’s efforts over the past year have been guided by a vision of a safer and more resilient Johannesburg.

The Limpopo province's property market is the fastest growing in the country, followed by the Western Cape and Gauteng.

Stats SA says the value of residential properties in South Africa's fourth largest province in terms of land area, rose by over 12% in May 2025.

This has been attributed to the province's strong economic growth over the last months.

Limpopo's economy grew more than the national average in 2024.

The Durban University of Technology’s Department of Food and Nutrition recently hosted its annual Student Awards Day.

The ceremony honoured students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their studies and to the values of the department.

Department head, professor Ashika Naicker says the awards are a testament to the hard work and resilience that students have shown throughout the year.
