The George community in the Western Cape has launched the Re-Tree George Initiative following recent storms and gale force winds that uprooted thousands of trees in the Garden Route.

Wild Impact upgrades KwaZulu Natal creche to secure government funding

Non profit organisation Wild Impact is supporting early childhood development centres across Greater Kruger and iSimangaliso by improving facilities and helping them meet compliance standards needed to access long term government funding.
One of the recent success stories is Sikhulanabo Creche in Hluhluwe in KwaZulu Natal, which has been transformed into a fully compliant early learning centre.
The upgrades include new classrooms, sanitation facilities, a kitchen, water purification systems, electricity access and safe play areas, enabling the centre to provide better learning and care for children in the community.
