Refurbished hospital wards to boost healthcare services in Gauteng
Gauteng Health MEC Faith Mazibuko is officially opening three refurbished wards at Kopanong District Hospital in Vereeniging and an upgraded male psychiatric ward at Sebokeng Regional Hospital on Monday.
The improvements include a renovated 30 bed paediatric ward, a reopened female psychiatric ward and an additional medical ward.
The department says the upgrades will help ease overcrowding, improve patient care and strengthen access to specialised mental healthcare services across the province.

Kruger National Park marks 100 years with centenary celebrations
The Kruger National Park has marked 100 years of existence with official centenary celebrations held at its headquarters in Mpumalanga over the weekend.
Stakeholders gathered to reflect on land restitution, inclusive conservation and long term economic growth linked to the park.
A beneficiation agreement was also signed to support broader participation and ensure surrounding communities benefit from conservation driven opportunities.

A purpose driven restaurant in Brownsboro Crossing, near Louisville in the United States, has raised more than $100,000 for charity in just one year of operation.
Noah’s Kitchen donates 100 percent of its profits to local and national organisations, supporting community initiatives, non profits and ministries.
Since opening, the restaurant has contributed to a range of causes including food security, grief support services and child welfare organisations, with every meal served directly funding charitable work.
