National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza visited Manzomthombo Secondary School in this week to donate 100 packs of sanitary towels, shoes, and stationery. The donation, to be made during the school assembly, is part of her ongoing outreach to support girls in underprivileged communities. Studies show a lack of menstrual products causes many girls to miss up to 20% of the school year, impacting their education.

Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, has been inducted into the International Women’s Forum Hall of Fame. The honour was announced during the World Leadership Conference in Seattle, Washington, which brought together 8,500 women leaders from 35 countries. The prestigious recognition celebrates her contributions to advancing women’s leadership globally and her impactful work in philanthropy, health, and education through the Motsepe Foundation. Dr Moloi-Motsepe continues to inspire progress and inclusion on the world stage.

Over 200 delegates from 40+ countries gathered in Cape Town as part of a high-level G20 Troika event focused on climate action and the Just Energy Transition. Leaders from South Africa, Brazil, the U.S., the African Union, and Europe discussed governance, accountability, and global cooperation. Analyst Ashraf Patel highlighted the role of foundations in driving climate solutions. The conference aims to shape inclusive, sustainable policies for a just global energy shift.
