The City of Johannesburg has launched a high-impact service delivery programme in the Randburg CBD. This is to curb illegal activity, improve cleanliness, and strengthen law enforcement. Regional director Sello Jonathan Lemao said the programme brings together multiple departments to fast-track service delivery in a focused area. Randburg CBD has been identified as a priority due to its high economic activity, with taxi ranks, municipal facilities, clinics, libraries, and shopping centres drawing large daily crowds.

Kelsi Naidoo and Callum Marais will be swimming in the Midmar Mile to raise 16 000 rand for the Sandton SPCA. Taking place on the 7th of February the couple aims to donate R10 for every metre of the 1.6km race. They hope to turn their swim into vital support for vulnerable animals. While thousands of swimmers will chase personal goals, Naidoo and Marais say their motivation is rooted in compassion and community.

Cresta Shopping Centre has supported the local community by donating stationery, clothing, and school essentials to Windsor Community Support Service. Shoppers contributed items such as school uniforms, shoes, and backpacks to help local children prepare for the new school year. The initiative also helps fund WCSS, allowing the organisation to continue paying workers who maintain the streets of Windsor, strengthening the centre’s ongoing commitment to the community.
