A Stellenbosch medical student has received key study tools after a TikTok video about selling fruit to buy a stethoscope went viral.
Enrico Angelo had been raising money by selling fruit parcels for R120 when a Good Samaritan connected him to a student willing to donate a new stethoscope and a dissection kit.
He collected both items from the campus bookstore days later.
Angelo says the support means he can now use his savings to buy an extra set of medical scrubs.

NASA’s Perseverance rover has recorded evidence of lightning on Mars for the first time.
Its microphone picked up tiny electrical discharges, or “zaps,” generated by dust storms sweeping across the planet.
