The event , which forms part of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour, is the biggest padel tournament ever staged in sub-Saharan Africa and will feature 33 South African players alongside some of the world's top competitors.

Padel is growing rapidly world wide and in South Africa with around 450 clubs contributing to the development of the sport.

The tournament offers local players the chance to compete against international stars and organizers say this will help promote the long term development of the sport.
