Preparations for the Young Farmer Connect Exhibition is underway in Johannesburg.
The event which will be hosted by the Young Farmer initiative in September, aims to tackle youth empowerment, land access, climate change and food security, promoting mentorship, innovation and sustainable farming.

With more than 2000 attendees expected, including emerging farmers, agricultural experts and private sector stakeholders, the exhibition will provide a dynamic space for dialogue, networking and learning.

Participants will engage in panel discussions, interactive workshops, and exhibitions that showcase innovative farming technologies and climate-smart practices.

At the heart of the event is the belief that young people are essential to building resilient, inclusive and progressive agricultural economy.

Durban launches SA’s first World Trade Center

Durban has made history as the first South African city to join the prestigious World Trade Center Association.

The eThekwini Municipality launched the country’s first World Trade Center at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre.

Durban now joins a global network of over 300 World Trade Centers in nearly 100 countries, including cities such as New York, Tokyo, Amsterdam, and Nairobi.

eThekwini Municipality’s Thembo Ntuli says the license gives Durban access to an international ecosystem of over one-million affiliated companies

Global technology giant Huawei has awarded bursaries valued at R2 million to top-performing ICT students at the Tshwane University of Technology.

The initiative is part of a collaboration between the university and Huawei, which aims to support top-performing students and advance the University's presence in the digital space.

More than one-thousand students have already received training and certification in emerging technologies such as cybersecurity and 5G,
through the TUT-Huawei ICT Academy.
