Minister Chikunga Hosts Women Trade Intervention Dialogue To Launch 2025 Women's Month

Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities Sindisiwe Chikunga will be hosting the Women Trade Intervention Dialogue to launch the 2025 Women's Month.
This year's theme is "Building Resilient Economies for All".
As part of this year's Women's month launch the Women Trade Intervention will focus on three priorities which includes supporting the informal economy, identifying key sectors for growth, and promoting collaboration for local investments.
Chikunga says they will also be introducing Empower Her Market a national women's fair that puts real opportunities in women's hands:

2-Wits University students were selected to participate in the 12th Get Engaged Student Action and Youth Leadership Conference in Lithuania.
The conference, held last month, brought together 40 student community builders from around the world.
Wits students Ntlahla Sikwana and Tessa Tshuma showcased their projects at the conference, with Ntlahla's Hand in Hand for Hope project focusing on helping children in her hometown of Kwazakhele, in Gqeberha with foundational literacy and numeracy.
Tessa on the other hand volunteers at Jan Hofmeyer Community Service in Vrededorp, which provides hot meals, homework help, and services for children and the elderly, a commitment shaped by her visit to Marang House children's home

South African tech academy WeThinkCode has received a R36 million grant from Google.org to expand its artificial intelligence training programs across Mzansi and Kenya.
The funding will support 12,000 learners from low-income and peri-urban communities.
The grant will fund a free 40-80 hour AI course for the learners, including 6,000 aspiring software engineers and 6,000 students and professionals in law, education, and healthcare.
The program will run through 2026, with progress tracked via employer showcases and outcome evaluations.
