TVET College opens driving simulator and 4IR centre
Story 1
South West Gauteng TVET College opened a driving simulator and 4IR technology centre at George Tabor Campus on March 27.
Students now practice driving in realistic simulators—machines that mimic real roads and traffic—so they can build confidence and skills safely.
The R30 million project, funded by the Transport Education and Training Authority, provides practical, hands-on learning and prepares students for the workforce.
The centre also promotes safe driving habits, allowing students to practice and develop road awareness before driving on real roads.
RTMC manager Ntsoaki Tsokolibane says the centre gives students the opportunity to train their minds and shape safe driving behaviours before getting behind the wheel, supporting a culture of responsible road use.
