Tshwane Ramps Up Fight on Fraud

The City of Tshwane has ramped up efforts to fight fraud and corruption by introducing safer, more confidential reporting systems. MMC for Corporate and Shared Services, Kholofelo Morodi, says the city now offers secure walk-in facilities and anonymous channels for whistle-blowers to report unethical behaviour without fear. Reports can be made in person at Tshwane House, Sammy Marks, or submitted via email.So far, over 900 cases have been investigated highlighting the value and impact of these accessible systems.

Launch of World's Largest Electric-Powered Ship

An Australian boatbuilder has launched the world's largest electric-powered ship and has described the project as “a giant leap forward in sustainable shipping”.Tasmanian manufacturer Incat, says the ship will operate entirely on battery-electric power, carrying up to 2,100 passengers and 225 vehicles across the River Plate. Incat says the ship is being equipped with over 250 tonnes of batteries and an Energy Storage System that boasts more than 40 megawatt-hours of installed capacity.Incat's Founder Bob Clifford SOUND
