The Higher Education Minister Dr Nobuhle Nkabane, will today officiate the induction of the 6th Board of the National Skills Authority, at the Gallagher House in Midrand.
The programme serves to outline the legislative mandate, and responsibilities of the NSA, while providing strategic orientation to the newly appointed board members.
The National Skills Authority serves as an advisory body to the Minister, on matters of national skills development policy, strategy and implementation.

Tshwane metro approves the renaming of the iconic Soshanguve Stadium

The Tshwane metro has approved the renaming of the iconic Giant Stadium in Soshanguve to the Amos Chando Mkhari Stadium, in honour of the late local soccer legend who left an indelible mark on South African football.
The move was spearheaded by the Soshanguve Heritage Foundation and aims to recognise Mkhari’s contribution to the community and to preserve the sporting legacy of one of Tshwane’s most talented players.
MMC for Economic Development and Spatial Planning, Sarah Mabotsa, highlighted the importance of honouring local heroes.

Australian boatbuilder launches the world's largest electric-powered ship

An Australian boatbuilder has launched the world's largest electric-powered ship and has described the project as “a giant leap forward in sustainable shipping”.
Tasmanian manufacturer Incat, says the ship will operate entirely on battery-electric power, carrying up to 2,100 passengers and 225 vehicles across the River Plate.
Incat says the ship is being equipped with over 250 tonnes of batteries and an Energy Storage System that boasts more than 40 megawatt-hours of installed capacity.
