SA and Kenya Lead the PE Investment Race

A majority of private equity investors see South Africa and Kenya as their top investment destinations over the next three years. According to the African Private Capital Association this comes despite US President Donald Trump’s tariff chaos that is muddling fundraising outlook for the continent. More than 65% of the general partners at private equity firms identified the two nations as their preferred choice in a survey conducted by the association.

IIE Launches New Campus in Sandton

The Independent Institute of Education has officially broken ground on a new campus at 114 Grayston Drive in Sandton. The new campus will house both The IIE’s Varsity College Sandton and IIE-Vega School Johannesburg, with space for up to 9,000 students.The campus, strategically located near the Sandton Gautrain station, aims to offer a world-class student experience, featuring modern facilities, including a dedicated space for IIE-Vega School and a state-of-the-art indoor sports centre. The IIE is also working towards achieving university status, expected in 2025, when the Department of Higher Education and Training releases new criteria. The campus is set to open its doors in January 2026.
