The Electricity and Energy Minister, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has provided an update on the status of South Africa's electricity generation performance and the efforts in place to manage capacity for the winter period.
The Minister has reported that units 1,2 and 3 at the Kusile power station would be restored by the end of May, In addition, unit 4, that had been out of service for about four years, has been reinstated which will add 800 megawatts of power.

Ambani Africa has launched the Ambani Kids App, which is an innovative, award-winning educational platform aimed at helping children to learn African languages.
The creators of the app have signed an agreement with the Basic Education Department to have the program rolled out to schools across South Africa.
The app is designed for children aged 2 to 12.
CEO and Founder, Mukundi Lambani, says she believes it is important to provide interactive, engaging materials for children to learn in languages they can understand.
