The National Treasury’s Jobs Fund has opened a new round of funding to help reduce unemployment in South Africa, focusing on young people and women.
The money will support projects that create jobs in areas like green energy, farming, recycling, and small businesses such as street vending.
Since it began, the Fund has spent R7.4 billion, helping create over 210 thousand full-time jobs, and supporting small businesses and farmers.
Groups from government, private companies, and non-profit organisations can apply for grants starting at R5 million.
Projects must show they can create jobs and keep going in the long term.
📅 Applications close on June 5 at 3 PM and must be submitted on the Jobs Fund website.
