The City of Johannesburg will host the prestigious World Union of Wholesale Markets Conference, at the Sandton Convention Centre from the 14th of May.
The Conference will bring together international voices in the agricultural sector,
placing the spotlight on the Joburg Market, which is South Africa's largest fresh produce hub.

Member of the Mayoral Committee for Economic Development, Councilor Nomoya Mnisi, says the conference will mark a defining moment for Johannesburg and the continent at large.

South African motorists will be paying less for petrol and diesel

The latest data from the Central Energy Fund indicates that fuel prices will decrease in the month of May.

Both grades of petrol are set to decrease by up to 19 cents per liter, with diesel set to drop by 37 cents per liter.
The decreases are attributed to drops in global oil prices and firmness in the rand.

The official fuel price will come into effect next Wednesday.

The panel brought together energy and finance leaders from the African Development Bank,
the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation and South Africa’s Greenscape, to address issues in global climate as well as energy access and security.

Africa's energy efficiency investments currently account for less than 3% of global funding.
