The Randburg Library recently hosted a vibrant Career Expo at the Ferndale Recreation Center, bringing together Grade 12 learners, higher learning institutions, and local high schools under one roof.
The event aimed to provide learners with valuable information about post-matric opportunities, to help them make informed decisions about their future careers.
The students engaged with exhibitors, asked insightful questions, and explored a wide range of study and career paths.

# Over 200 women were honoured at the 10th Annual Woman of Stature Awards held at the Indaba Hotel, Spa, & Conference Centre in Fourways. Celebrated across 14 categories, these remarkable women were selected from a record-breaking 700 nominations for their leadership, excellence, and community impact.
CEO Charlotte du Plessis praised the ceremony fro its role in supporting business funding and sustainability initiatives. She says the awards have evolved into a movement that empowers women through mentorship and recognition.

The National Treasury’s Jobs Fund has opened a new round of funding to help reduce unemployment in South Africa, focusing on young people and women.
The money will support projects that create jobs in areas like green energy, farming, recycling, and small businesses such as street vending.
Since it began, the Fund has spent R7.4 billion, helping create over 210,000 full-time jobs, and supporting small businesses and farmers.
Groups from government, private companies, and non-profit organisations can apply for grants starting at R5 million. Projects must show they can create jobs and keep going in the long term.
